Hope for the Hopeless {Michael/Sara} Season Two FanMix Okay, so I finally got the ambition to waste away a few hours to finish the fanmix that I've been working on for the last couple of weeks or so. I started it a while ago and then just never finished because...um, I'm lazy. Although I was on a roll there back in May where I did three or four Prison Break fanmixes one after another, I lost the inspiraton for quite a while. It obviously came back! And while this is in similar format, this is my favorite, hands-down. Even if you don't watch PB, I would recommend any of the songs because they're some of my favorites. In fact, this fanmix started from a playlist on iTunes that I listen to specifically when I'm writing angsty fiction - which tends to be Michael/Sara-centric, thus why it turned into a fanmix about them.
This was originally going to have one song for each episode of season two and that...didn't work. There are still 22 songs but now they cover season two at the more (what I feel to be) pivotal moments in Michael and Sara's relationship and its transitions. Below the cut you will find cover art, pertinent lyrics, pictures to accompany each song and, of course, links for the songs individually and also as a zip file :) I hope someone enjoys this because it took entirely too long and, well, like I said...great songs and I basically love each and every one of them.

Into The Mystic {Michael/Sara} Post-Series FanMix Because I want them to sail off into the sunset, dammit!
No, seriously, what's my deal? Three mixes in less than a month? Prison Break being off the air is REALLY doing something to me! It's made me weirdly productive in the fandom. And while I was trying to write some self-indulgent hiatus smut, the idea for this mix just kinda came to me. Based on all of the songs I was listening to for inspiration while writing. I had my season one mix and my season two mix and if there were other seasons I'm sure I'd have mixes for those, too. But there isn't. So this one is purely based on inferences and allusions on the show and my own fluff-loving heart.
This mix is what I would call one of the future that I think every Michael/Sara fan secretly (or not-so-secretly) wants for them. Their happily ever after where they live somewhere tropical (Baja? Panama?), lounge around in hammocks, drink beer and finally forget about everything that has gone wrong in their lives because being together makes everything right. This mix is, therefore, made of all of the songs that make me think of Michael and Sara sometime down the road when they're happy and content and living the life they probably often thought they'd never get to live. Sweet, sexy, and slightly schmoopy but with certain relationship progression. I hope. That is the premise of this mix but you all can be the judge.
I test my mixes on myself before I post them and I must say that today I drove home down back roads, windows open, music blaring and I think I love it in its entirety for this beautiful weather we've been having here! Hopefully some of you can enjoy a mellow summer mix that makes you all warm and squishy inside, too :)

We Are one {Michael/Sara} Season 1 FanMix Apparently one mix wasn't enough. In case you missed it and are interested, my first Michael/Sara mix can be found right here at my journal - What Was and Might Have Been. I thought that since it was a season two mix, I needed to show season one the same love. Or maybe I've been that bored this evening :) That sounds more likley.
So, I have a little backstory so this will all make sense. While my previous mix had a certain storytelling approach that touched on key moments in Michael and Sara's relationship in season two...this mix...well, I guess it's a little odd. Again it goes with the "key moments" theme but what I did here had a lot less to do with how all of the songs flow as a whole and how well it tells the first season's story from start to finish than its predecessor. There are ten songs in this mix, and five moments between Michael and Sara in season one that are used. Doing your math, that does come down to two songs per each scene from the show that I've chosen to include. I guess I should say that this mix is an exploration of "he said, she said" through music. Two people, two songs, two sets of emotions - all happening in one fated encounter.
If you just look under the cut (since I don't think I did a good job explaining my poor brain's sketchy inner workings), you'll get where I'm going with the whole thing. I hope.

What Was and Might Have Been {Michael/Sara} Season 2 FanMix So, as we enter week three without Prison Break, I continue to find ways to entertain myself in its absence. This is my first official fanmix and by the time I was finished, it was a bit of a pain in my ass but I rather like it so...I guess it was worth the trouble. Most of the trouble, that being said, came in the form of formatting the songs I wanted to use so that other people can download them and actually play them. I hate you, iTunes! On the other hand, I love Audacity (the encoder that saved my life) and all the songs below the cut can be found in .mp3 form.
As stated in the post subject, this mix focuses solely on season two and I kind of matched songs to particular key moments in time that I think were important in the evolution of Michael and Sara's relationship. That's why you'll find happy little bits of dialogue paired with each song :) I think it sets the mood. Also, I venture to say that this mix accidentally became more or less from Michael's perspective.
